Property prices are on the rise again. Cheaper and more accessible mortgages are to blame. The number of people interested in homeownership has been increasing since the beginning of 2024, and with it, property prices are gradually rising, as new data shows.
While property prices were generally falling in the autumn of 2023, the situation reversed in the winter. We now anticipate a return to growth across all regions of the Czech Republic. The Czech National Bank has relaxed conditions for obtaining mortgage loans and lowered interest rates, which is slowly reflected in cheaper mortgages. The fastest growth in property prices is expected in Prague and the South Moravian Region.
